Health Information Technician 2 State of Ohio

DBH :
Evaluates requests for information & ensures appropriate release procedures, represents facility in court when health information is subpoenaed as evidence. Catalogs health information reports using ICD-10-CM, reviews them for consistency & completeness & obtains missing information. Compile and complete Release of Information Attend meetings, seminars, and trainings Organize and monitor EHR and medical records to ensure compliance, Enforce all State and Federal guidelines Comply with Medicaid/Medicare standards, and follow CMS guidelines This is an hourly position covered by theOCSEA/AFSCME
bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 29 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are 7AM-3:30PM. This position is located within our Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare location at 930 South Detroit Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43614-2701 . Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. Completion of health information technology or health information administration program offered by technical school or university/college which would qualify applicant for accreditation as registered health information administrator (RHIA) or registered health information technician (RHIT). If curriculum did not include training in pharmacology, applicants must also have 1 course in pharmacology. Completion of 90 hr. national association of practical nurses educational services may be substituted for 1 course in pharmacology.
