Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated HIM Document Imaging Specialist to join the Central Medical Records team. This role is Full-time working Sunday-Thursday 1pm-9:30pm Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. HIM Document Imaging Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Processes documentation (document prep, scanning and indexing) into the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Assures integrity and quality of medical records using document imaging technology with established quality control procedures. Responsible for demonstrating knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations as evidenced by appropriate handling of Protected Health Information (PHI), promoting confidentiality and using discretion when handling patient and various hospital departments information. Demonstrates competency by successfully meeting established scanning/indexing metrics for productivity and quality. Communicates any issues to Management in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, daily maintenance, and storage of all data both in an electronic and hard copy format consistent with the administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or
GED Experience :
2 years of Medical Records Data experience
