Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk Specialist to serve as the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless administrative operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times Verify insurance coverage and handle in-office payments Schedule patient appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for medical records and billing purposes Manage multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain organized medical records, files, and documentation review processes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with clinical intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating care plans as needed Qualifications Proven experience in a receptionist or front desk position, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting Familiarity with EHR systems is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing procedures is a plus Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and office management software Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards with integrity and discretion Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred Join us in delivering outstanding patient service while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
