Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of a busy medical office. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments and provider calendars. Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage. Collect patient balances, copays, and other applicable payments. Update and maintain accurate patient demographic and medical record information. Answer incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member. Assist patients with check-in, forms, and other administrative needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies. Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support the medical office and clinical staff. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain a professional and organized front-desk environment. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred. Experience with insurance verification and patient account management preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records. Experience with AthenaOne is preferred; however, training will be provided to the right candidate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively and remain professional in a fast-paced environment. Friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team. This is an in person position.
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
