Job Description
Nordstrom Family Dental and Wee Care Pediatric Dentistry are looking for a team orientated, customer service enthusiast, outgoing person with dental or medical office experience to join our front desk team. The front desk is responsible for providing superb customer service from the first phone call to reserving the next visit.
PRIMARY Job Duties:
- Greet patients when they enter or leave the office
- Answer incoming calls and direct the caller to the proper person, taking messages and reserving appointments
- Register new patients; ensure all paperwork is complete
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits details prior to appointment and ensure the information is entered correctly in the patient's record
- Ensure all patient records are ready (update patient record, verify insurance and benefits) before the patient's appointment
- Make outbound calls to confirm patients, reschedule patients that do not make their appointment, and patients that have treatment to be completed
- Ensure all patient records are prepared and current for the following day
- Perform routine record maintenance
- Check out patient appointments and collect cost share when appropriate
- Schedule patient's next visit
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent
- One year experience in a healthcare front office
- Team orientated work experience
- Telephone skills: Proper telephone etiquette and information gathering skills
- Computer skills: Windows and Internet
- Ability to demonstrate high level of customer service and satisfaction
- Enjoy working with children
- Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines We offer a competitive salary and benefits including: paid holidays, sick pay, Simple IRA and dental benefits Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (varies depending on patient load)
