In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and efficient front desk environment Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting insurance information and updating records Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and directing calls appropriately Skills Proven experience in oral surgery, dental clinic or medical office settings with strong clerical and administrative support skills, but will train the professional applicant. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. Proficiency in handling a multi-line phone system while obtaining accurate patient information needed for treatments and insurance verification. Knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare, and HIPAA compliance Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in person Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (including 10 key typing) Experience with medical terminology, documentation review, and health information management is preferred Ability to handle sensitive information with strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, medical records management, and appointment scheduling Join us as a Oral Surgery Receptionist to be an integral part of a caring team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
