Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bi-Lingual Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems Schedule patient appointments accurately while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies. Handle phone communications professionally, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately using proper phone etiquette. Review medical documentation for completeness and accuracy, including intake forms, care plans, and medical records management. Assist with billing processes by understanding medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance claims, and Medicare requirements to support medical collection efforts. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure electronic health records (EHR) are updated promptly and accurately. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, document review, and basic clerical duties like filing and 10-key typing. Ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive health information securely. Demonstrate proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office to prepare reports or correspondence as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and insurance processes including Medicare guidelines is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic experience or dental clinic experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and basic typing (10-key). Ability to review medical documentation thoroughly while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and office workflows.
