Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining medical records, and providing exceptional customer service to patients. If you have experience in a medical or dental receptionist role and possess strong administrative skills, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
- Previous experience as a medical or dental receptionist is preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare setting
