Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent administrative support and exceptional patient service. If you have a strong background in medical terminology, scheduling, and record-keeping, we encourage you to apply.Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role strongly preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes with professionalism
