In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your expertise in medical administrative support, electronic health records (EHR) management, and patient service will help streamline clinic operations and enhance patient experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery through exceptional front desk management, accurate documentation review, and effective communication. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) ensuring accurate time slots and provider availability. Verify insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle health insurance inquiries in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including intake documentation review and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Assist with medical billing by coding procedures using CPT codes and
ICD-10/ICD-9
diagnosis codes accurately for Medicare and other insurers. Maintain organized medical records by filing documents securely and managing electronic health records (EHR) with attention to confidentiality policies. Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed promptly. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or clinic experience with strong clerical skills. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems , familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical billing procedures. Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and scheduling purposes. Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information securely. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes. Customer service orientation combined with effective communication skills to ensure positive patient interactions. Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare claims and care plan coordination is a plus.
