1099 Contractor We Hear You, Inc. | Little Rock, Arkansas 35 hours per week | Tuesday-Saturday We Hear You, Inc. is seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Receptionist for our outpatient behavioral health practice. This is more than a receptionist position. The person selected will regularly interact with clients, clinicians, administration, insurance companies, Electronic Health Records (EHR), billing information, and confidential behavioral-health documentation. Strong computer skills, accuracy, professionalism, communication, confidentiality, and accountability are essential. Schedule Approximately 35 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday. Regular Saturday availability is required. Primary Responsibilities Answer and return calls professionally and communicate with clients and staff Schedule appointments and respond to EHR messages Assist clients with admission paperwork and non-medical administrative needs Verify insurance eligibility and assist with pre-certifications Assist with Medicaid billing, EOBs, and insurance payment posting Scan, upload, and accurately maintain client documentation in the EHR Collect signed documents and payments as appropriate Assist with referrals, credentialing, grievances, and other administrative functions Maintain office supplies and assist with outreach/organizational projects Complete assigned training and other duties as needed Client needs take priority over routine administrative work, so the successful candidate must be able to appropriately prioritize responsibilities throughout the workday. The position may also include limited client-support duties, including collecting/monitoring urine drug screens for same-sex clients as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least 1 year of recent administrative/clerical and/or customer-service experience Existing proficiency with basic computer functions and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook/email Ability to perform routine functions such as copy/paste, file management, data entry, Excel sorting, and basic formulas Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently Ability to receive supervision, coaching, and corrective feedback professionally Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and appropriately with both clients and staff Dependability, initiative, honesty, sound judgment, and accountability EHR/EMR, multi-line telephone, healthcare, behavioral health, medical office, insurance, Medicaid, or billing experience is preferred.
