Job Description
Overview Front Desk Medical Receptionist | Part-Time | Gilbert , Arizona 85298 Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Medical Receptionist (Front Office Assistant) to support our South Gilbert clinic. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment!
Pay Rate:
$16-$17/Hour Part Time (20-25 Hours/Week) Responsibilities- Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources
- Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls
- Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information, creating or updating patient records, and helping patients understand next steps
- Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, working waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up with patients who need future visits
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking or reconciliation when needed
- Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a medical front desk, healthcare reception, physical therapy, chiropractic, dental, or similar clinical office setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills
- Comfort using computers, phones, scheduling systems, electronic medical records, email, and basic spreadsheets
- Ability to discuss payments, scheduling expectations, and basic insurance information with professionalism
