This is a floater position between check-in, check-out, insurance verification & scheduler.
Schedule:
Full time, Monday through Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities (assisting in each area listed as needed): Check-In
- Assisting current check-in staff with: Greeting & checking patient's in when they arrive Collect copay, deductible, co-insurance Enter demographic including insurance info into the computer Confirm & correct demographic and insurance info from review of computer and chart Check-Out
- Assisting current check-out staff with: Scheduling patient's for return visits & procedures Writing orders for imaging and lab Preparing office ultrasound appointments Preparing and sending out recall letters Insurance Verification
- Assisting current staff with: Confirm insurance coverage and benefits Enter insurance info into the computer system Updating and correcting insurance changes Verifying patient's co-pays, deductible and co-insurance for appointment type Requesting authorizations & referrals as needed for appointment type Knowledge of insurance company requirements as they relate to authorization Appointment scheduler / Phone specialist•Assisting current staff with : Gather new patient info and schedule new patient appointments Schedule established patient appointments and office procedures Take patient messages as needed for physicians & other staff Create messages in the EMR for physicians & other staff Assist incoming callers as needed
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of front office procedure Knowledge of insurance company's policy and procedure Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to HIPPA Knowledge of diagnostic testing procedures Knowledge of
CPT, ICD-10, HCPS
coding Knowledge of basic mathematics Knowledge of basic EMR system
Education and Experience:
