Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule appointments for a variety of medical services such as pediatrics, speech-language therapy, language therapy, and geriatric care. Collaborate with healthcare providers to confirm availability and optimize scheduling workflows for multidisciplinary teams. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to accurately input patient information, appointment details, and treatment plans. Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide appointment reminders, gather necessary pre-visit information, and answer scheduling inquiries. Assist in coordinating telehealth therapy sessions, ensuring technology setup and patient readiness for virtual appointments. Maintain comprehensive documentation of scheduling activities, cancellations, reschedules, and follow-up appointments. Support the preparation of detailed patient assessments and ensure timely delivery of speech-language pathology plans in collaboration with clinicians. Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology, pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, and general healthcare practices. Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities or speech impairments in clinical or school settings. Knowledge of early intervention programs and experience managing pediatric populations' schedules. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and telehealth platforms to facilitate smooth virtual therapy sessions. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration and multidisciplinary team coordination. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism. Familiarity with working with geriatric patients and understanding their unique scheduling needs.
