The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, scheduling, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure a smooth patient experience. Our practice is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Appointment Specialist to join our group. You will be responsible for managing the scheduling and coordination of appointments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional client experiences. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Schedule and confirm appointments using medical scheduling software. New Referral appointment Coordinator Obtain Authorization for Treatment, appointment Manage patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date. Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate staff. Process patient insurance information and verify eligibility. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with billing inquiries and provide administrative support as needed. Manage Daily Provider Schedule. Collaborate with office staff to ensure seamless patient care. Chart prep, Distribute Faxes, Messages. Open Mail, Scan and Distribute. Medical Records Request Sort Billing Paper work to corresponding department Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable. Experience with medical scheduling software; knowledge Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and record management. Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills as needed.
