Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Front Office Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative duties. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft. Must be fluent in English and Spanish languages. Schedule patient appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage appointment calendars to optimize clinic efficiency. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks. Collect payments including cash and credit card transactions. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to address patient inquiries promptly and redirect calls appropriately. Maintain organized dental records, update patient information in Eaglesoft. Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, documentation review, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Experience Previous experience working as a dental receptionist in a clinical setting is required. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft. Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification procedures, and billing practices. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key). Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Clinic experience involving medical scheduling, intake procedures, and health information management is highly desirable.
