The ideal candidate must have both front office and back office skills and be bilingual in English and Chinese. One year of prior training and experience is strongly preferred. I. Job Summary Under the direct supervision of Front Desk Supervisor, the responsibilities involve managing consumers, visitors, professional and efficient manner. In addition to this, he/she has to perform various clerical duties, which support in the presentation and operation of HCHC. The receptionist is responsible to assist customers in smooth and efficient manner, to adhere to all protocols in line with an organization goals, strategy, and values. He/She is fundamental to HCHC as they present the first and foremost impression of an organization to customers and clients. II. Essential Functions 1. Welcome patients as they contact the clinic in-person and explain the services available. 2. Monitor the flow of the patients waiting outside front entrance. 3. Triage them and direct them to different department. 4. Take temperature for all medical department staff, patients/visitors entering our clinic. 5. Ensure all patients/visitors complete the
COVID-19
screening questionnaire. Alert the supervisor for any exposure history of
COVID-19. 6.
Work closely with Medical, Dental and Nursing staff to assure smooth patient flow and minimize the wait time. 7. Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements. 8. Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed. 9. Attend Department/Organization meetings. 10. Attend training to enhance knowledge to improve job skills and performance. 11. Ensure that common areas in office premises are equipped with required office supplies as appropriate. III. Organization Expectation 1. Adhere to all HCHC's Policies and Procedures. 2. Conduct self in a manner that represents HCHC's core values at all times. 3. Maintain a positive, respectful and professional attitude with all work-related contacts. 4. Communicate regularly with the staff about work concerns. 5. Meet productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates. IV. Education/License/Certification 1. Graduation from high school or equivalent. 2. Prior administrative or clerical experience in clinical or community-based setting highly preferred. 3. Ability to communicate with patient and understand their problems.
