Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures s Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Manage phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and ensure accurate medical billing in accordance with health insurance guidelines including Medicare Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records and office supplies Requirements Excellent customer service skills coupled with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict clinical confidentiality Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and medical administrative support software Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Clinic or dental clinic experience is advantageous but not required; a background in medical billing or medical coding is beneficial Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management Positive attitude, adaptability, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy healthcare setting Join us to make a meaningful impact on patient care through exceptional administrative support!
