Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our clinic! This energetic role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves providing exceptional patient service, and has a passion for healthcare administration. As a key member of our team, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and support the clinical staff with administrative tasks. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help ensure a smooth and positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check them in efficiently using Open dental Schedule appointments accurately while managing calendar updates and patient flow to maximize clinic efficiency Collect and process payments, including medical collections and insurance co-pays, using health insurance knowledge and billing systems like Dental Xchange Review medical documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information about procedures, appointment reminders, and insurance inquiries Maintain organized medical records and ensure proper filing of patient documents in Open Dental Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, typing reports, filing paperwork, and performing 10-key typing with precision Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administrative roles within dental or clinical settings Strong knowledge of Open Dental and Dental Xchange Familiarity with dental codes Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette to create a positive patient experience Ability to manage health information securely while adhering to HIPAA regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling, filing, and record keeping Experience with health insurance processes including Medical and PPO Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding administrative support in a friendly, professional environment. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
