Job Description

Job Summary Medical Professionals is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Medical Receptionist to support daily operations in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic. This role is essential in delivering excellent patient care by managing front desk responsibilities, patient flow, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment, provides exceptional customer service, and ensures accurate patient information and smooth clinic operations. What you'll be doing: Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and inquiries Greet patients, check them in, and provide new patient paperwork Enter and update patient information in the EMR system Verify insurance coverage and collect payments, co-pays, and balances Room patients and assist with clinic flow as needed Order contact lenses and eyeglasses for patients Maintain accurate records and support front office operations What you'll need EMR experience required (NextGen highly desired) Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong job stability with consistent work history Valid driver's license required (for travel between locations) Good to have Experience in ophthalmology or optometry settings Familiarity with NextGen EMR system Strong customer service and communication skills

Laguna Hills, CA (with travel reimbursement between two offices)

Hire Type:
Full-Time Pay Range:
$19/hour
  • Entry-level $20/hour
  • Mid-level experience $21/hour
