Job:
This position is responsible for performing secretarial duties while utilizing a variety of medical skills, specific medical terminology and requires working under the direct supervision of a Physician. This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position in Orange County. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to: Schedule patient appointments Verify insurance prior to patient visit Enter and update patient demographics Collect patient balances, co-pays, and estimates Obtain authorization for visits (HMO,WC) Answer phones Sort and distribute mail and/or faxes Medical records Cover other clinics as needed. CompleteEDD/FMLA
forms Support clinical staff with patient care tasks within scope Expectations- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow the chain of commands.
- Prioritize tasks by level of importance to meet deadlines.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner. Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience in Medical Office, 1 year required.
