Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and provide an exceptional front-office experience Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments Manage the daily schedule and help maintain efficient patient flow Check patients in and out Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits Update patient demographic and insurance information Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Process patient payments and provide receipts Assist patients with basic insurance and billing questions Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate effectively with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and other team members Follow up with patients regarding appointments and paperwork Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area Assist with general administrative and front-office duties as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies
Qualifications:
Previous dental front-office or dental receptionist experience required Knowledge of dental terminology and basic dental procedures Experience with dental insurance verification preferred Experience with dental practice management software preferred Open Dental experience is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy dental office Professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor Dependable, punctual, and reliable Comfortable answering phones and communicating with patients Must be a team player
