Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00PM PST Duration:
6-Month Contract (potential for extension; conversion not guaranteed) About the Opportunity We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join a busy healthcare team in Los Angeles. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a critical role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the front office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with medical front office experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities + Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion + Check patients in for scheduled appointments + Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information + Verify patient registration and insurance details + Make appointment reminder calls + Scan and upload documents into electronic medical records + Assist with patient scheduling and front desk workflow + Perform general administrative and clerical duties + Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality + Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Required Qualifications + Bilingual in Spanish + Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in a healthcare setting + Experience using Epic EMR + Knowledge of patient registration and insurance verification processes Preferred Qualifications + Strong customer service and interpersonal skills + Excellent communication skills + Ability to navigate multiple computer systems efficiently + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment + Healthcare experience strongly preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable and organized healthcare professional who thrives in a patient-facing environment. They are comfortable using EMR systems, possess strong customer service skills, and can communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
