Pay :
$28-$32 per hour, depending on experience About the Role Dentistry on the Lake is a private general dental practice in Mission Viejo looking for an experienced Dental Front Office / Insurance Coordinator. This is an important front-office role for someone who is organized, reliable, calm with patients, comfortable with dental insurance, and able to help the day run smoothly. Our focus is quality patient care, clear communication, and a calm, professional patient experience rather than rushing patients through. The person in this role will work closely with the doctor, business manager, and clinical team to support patient communication, scheduling, insurance coordination, patient accounts, and smooth front-to-back workflow. Responsibilities Answer patient calls and manage front-desk communication Schedule appointments and help maintain an organized daily schedule Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out with warmth and professionalism Verify insurance benefits and update insurance information accurately Assist with insurance claim follow-up, insurance questions, and patient billing questions Review patient balances and collect payments professionally Maintain accurate Dentrix records, documents, notes, and account details Coordinate with the clinical team to support clear patient handoffs and smooth patient flow Communicate clearly with patients, the doctor, business manager, and team members Support general front-office responsibilities as needed Qualifications Dental front-office experience required Dental insurance verification and claim follow-up experience strongly preferred Dentrix experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, scheduling, insurance coordination, and patient accounts Strong phone, communication, and customer service skills Comfortable discussing insurance, balances, and scheduling with patients Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and professional Able to stay calm and focused during the workday Team-oriented and comfortable working closely with both front and back office Open to learning office workflows, digital systems, and new technology with support and training Benefits Paid time off Paid sick leave 401(k) with employer match Supportive private-practice environment How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note about your dental front-office, insurance, and Dentrix experience.
