Medical Secretary Orthopaedic Specialty Institute Medical Group of Orange County Mission Viejo, CA Job Details Full-time $23 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Electronic health records (EHR) management Workers' compensation insurance knowledge High school diploma or GED Computer skills Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is responsible for performing secretarial duties while utilizing a variety of medical skills, specific medical terminology and requires working under the direct supervision of a Physician. This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to: Schedule patient appointments Enter and update patient demographics Collect patient balances Obtain authorization for visits (HMO,WC) Answer phones Sort and distribute mail and/or faxes Medical records Cover other clinics as needed. Expectations Maintain confidentiality. Follow the chain of commands. Prioritize tasks by level of importance to meet deadlines. Complete tasks in a timely manner. Education and Experience High School Diploma required. Basic computer skills required. Experience in a Medical Practice/Medical Office preferred.
