Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator at the front desk of our busy dental clinic. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with administrative expertise to ensure smooth daily operations. You will manage patient interactions, handle scheduling, and support clinical staff with accurate documentation and health information management. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality policies. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and update patient records in Electronic Health Records. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental clinic management software (Dentrix), ensuring optimal patient flow and minimal wait times Collect payments, process medical billing, and perform medical collections with accuracy and professionalism Manage phone communications with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately Review and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance claims processing for Medicare and health insurance providers Support clinical staff by maintaining accurate care plans, medical documentation, and filing of medical records in accordance with health information management standards Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative support role, preferably within a dental clinic environment Familiarity with dental coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and health insurance processes. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (10 key typing) Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone communication and office management abilities Ability to review medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with experience in filing, documentation review, and electronic health records management Knowledge of clinical terminology related to dental care is a plus but not required Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support! Pay:
