Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our specialty practice. This role is critical to creating an outstanding patient experience from the first phone call to checkout.
Responsibilities:
Answering phones and managing a high volume of patient inquiries with warmth and professionalism in English and Spanish Scheduling new and returning patient appointments, coordinating with referring general dentists Verifying dental insurance benefits and explaining coverage to patients clearly Collecting co-pays, processing payments, and managing daily financial transactions Maintaining accurate patient records and demographics in Open Dental Communicating with referring offices to request records, X-rays, and referral slips Managing recall and follow-up outreach for treatment-pending patients Supporting HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and data handling
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of dental front office experience (specialty office a plus) Bilingual English/Spanish required — must be able to communicate fluently with patients and staff in both languages Familiarity with dental insurance billing and benefit verification Experience with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Must be open to cross-training as a dental assistant including chairside support, sterilization, and patient preparation
