Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Medical Receptionist to support a busy medical office in Pasadena. This role requires heavy phone experience , strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment while providing exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient inquiries Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-office experience Register and check in patients accurately; verify demographics and insurance information Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments while optimizing provider schedules Maintain patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Handle paperwork, referrals, scanning, and general administrative tasks Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and external offices Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies Qualifications 2+ years of medical receptionist or healthcare front office experience preferred Strong phone skills with experience handling high call volume (required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional demeanor with a patient-focused, friendly attitude Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
