Medical Receptionist Ethos medical wellness clinic Pomona, CA Job Details Part-time From $21 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Patient resuscitation Customer communication Vital signs EKG ICD coding Intake BLS Certification HIPAA Internal medicine Medical assisting Working with adult populations First aid and CPR Full Job Description Job Overview Part-Time Medical Assistant - Ethos Medical Wellness Clinic Ethos Medical Wellness Clinic is a new primary care practice located in Upland city, California seeking a dependable, caring, and organized part-time Medical Assistant to help support the clinic as we grow.
Schedule:
Approximately 16-20 hours per week
Pay:
$21/hour This position may transition to a full-time role in the future as the clinic grows and patient volume increases. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes Schedule appointments efficiently using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and manage patient flow throughout the day Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately in the EMR/EHR platform Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including EKG, injections, medication administration, and basic life support procedures Maintain organized medical documentation, update patient records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medical office management by handling correspondence, managing supplies, and coordinating referrals or follow-up appointments Experience Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills Proven experience working in a medical office environment with a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently Basic knowledge of ICD coding for referrals and other tasks. Experience with patient service roles including intake procedures, vital signs collection, and patient education Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to support emergency response readiness Join us to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing outstanding patient care while fostering your professional growth.
