In this essential role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a seamless patient experience from scheduling appointments to managing dental records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your medical administrative expertise in a fast-paced dental clinic setting, supporting both patient care and office operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency. Handle phone communications with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries about appointments, billing, and general clinic information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Assist with medical billing and collections, including understanding health insurance policies like Medicare and HIPAA compliance standards. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring proper CPT coding.. Support clinical staff by managing dental records requests, filing documents, and ensuring confidentiality policies are followed diligently. Qualifications Proven experience as a receptionist or similar support role preferably within a dental clinic environment. Strong computer skills.. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental insurance processes. Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and strong organizational abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic experience with familiarity in HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies is preferred.
