Bridge the gap between patients, insurance providers, and clinical staff to ensure an organized workflow and an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Greet and check-in patients warmly upon arrival. Provide necessary intake, medical history, and HIPAA forms. Answer phone calls, route messages, and respond to email inquiries. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby area. Scheduling & Coordination Optimize provider schedules to minimize gaps and patient wait times. Confirm appointments daily via phone, text, or email. Manage cancellations, no-shows, and short-notice rescheduling. Coordinate external specialist referrals and transfer dental records or X-rays. Insurance & Financial Management Verify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits before visits. Present treatment estimates, copays, and financial arrangements to patients. Process patient payments, issue receipts, and manage daily accounts receivable. Administration & Records Management Maintain accurate, digital patient charts and demographic information. Scan, sort, and file incoming dental correspondence or diagnostic reports. Monitor front-office inventory and order administrative supplies as needed. Ensure strict adherence to healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Job Requirements & Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent general education degree.
Experience:
1-5 years of experience in a dental office setting is heavily preferred.
Software:
Proficiency with specialized dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft).
Knowledge:
Working familiarity with basic dental terminology, procedures, and standard insurance billing codes.
Skills:
Strong multitasking capabilities, excellent verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of customer service empathy.
Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
