Dental Front Desk Receptionist / Floater —
Spanish Speaking Location:
San Jose, CA Pay:
Based on experience; negotiable
Schedule:
Monday through Friday & some
Saturdays Benefits:
Health benefits and bonuses are available. Our dental practice is looking for a friendly, dependable, Spanish-speaking receptionist who can also help with dental assisting when needed. This role involves front desk responsibilities, along with taking dental X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and assisting chairside. We're looking for someone who makes patients feel welcome, communicates well, and is eager to learn our office's routines. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and checkout. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and help manage the daily schedule. Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and fill openings. Assist with patient paperwork, records, and payments. Communicate with patients in English and Spanish. Take dental X-rays and provide chairside assistance when needed. Clean, package, and sterilize dental instruments following infection-control protocols. Help the front and back office teams keep the day running smoothly. Qualifications Ability to communicate comfortably in English and Spanish. RDA licensure is not required; however, dental X-ray certification valid in California is required. Ability to provide basic chairside assistance. Friendly, patient, and professional communication style. Dependable, organized, and comfortable switching between tasks. Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team. Previous dental front desk experience is preferred. Familiarity with SoftDent or Weave is a plus. We value a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to grow. Training on our office's systems and workflows will be provided.
