Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify patient insurance coverage and process payments accurately using health insurance knowledge and medical billing procedures Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle phone communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies while practicing excellent phone etiquette Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems including Practice Works, Google Sheets for documentation review and data entry Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare documentation to support billing processes Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation and coordinating appointment schedules efficiently File patient records securely, perform 10 key typing tasks quickly and accurately, and maintain organized filing systems Skills Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a dental clinic setting with strong clerical experience Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Knowledge of health insurance procedures including medical collection processes and health information management Familiarity with dental terminology, HIPAA compliance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for administrative tasks Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Experience with medical office management tasks such as filing, documentation review, and clinic operations management Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and appointment schedules Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient care while advancing your career in a supportive healthcare environment!
