Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle medical records and care plans efficiently. Must have excellent communication & organizational skills. Previous medical experience required. Bilingual candidate preferred due to communication requirements with patients (Spanish/English). Responsibilities Greet patients. Schedule appointments / data entry. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process patient information, including insurance details & demographics. Handle incoming calls & respond to inquiries / customer service. Prep charts for upcoming appointments including insurance verifications of benefits & eligibility as well as prior authorizations for managed care insurances. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office setting. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices. Proficient in managing medical records and understanding care plans. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience with EMR / practice management software. Ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinic environment.
