Front Desk Staff Invision Optometry - 3.7 Santa Monica, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $24 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Optical experience Dental receptionist Ophthalmology Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description A boutique optometry practice in Santa Monica seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is warm and professional with patients, highly organized, comfortable multitasking, and able to help keep a busy optometry office running smoothly. Experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office is preferred. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients and provide a welcoming experience Work up patients and assist with the flow of the doctor's schedule Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient questions Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Respond to office emails and patient messages Order contact lenses and communicate with patients regarding their orders Prepare invoices and collect/process patient payments Verify and enter patient information accurately Assist with insurance and billing-related administrative tasks Coordinate with doctors, opticians, labs, and vendors as needed Maintain organized patient records and office communications Help with general front-office responsibilities and daily practice operations Qualifications Previous optometry, ophthalmology, medical, or dental office experience preferred Excellent communication and customer-service skills Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with patients Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a busy office environment Comfortable using computers, email, scheduling systems, and electronic health records Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Optometry experience, including contact lens ordering and vision insurance knowledge, is a plus
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
