Job Description
Primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error
- Checking patients in and out; facilitating test ordering, follow-up appointment scheduling, etc.
- Calling physical appointments, a day before to remind patients
- Calling "no-show" patients and rescheduling them for another appointment
- Following processes related to timely and accurate electronic filing
- Delivering patient messages to physicians, care teams and patients
- Assisting with prior authorizations for prescriptions
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Calling/scheduling patients on pursuit lists
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- One year experience in a fast paced clinic environment, preferably in a family practice/internal medicine setting
- The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
- Energetic, professional manner
- EMR proficient, Cerner experience preferred
- Excellent Computer Skills, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word a plus Qualified candidates should submit a resume detailing their qualifications via this ad.
