Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/ Scheduling Coordinator
WITH DENTAL EXPERIANCE
:) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing appointment scheduling and administrative tasks with precision. Your expertise in medical and dental office procedures, combined with strong communication skills, will ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a caring healthcare environment where efficiency and professionalism are valued. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify patient information, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using dental and medical scheduling software, maintaining optimal patient flow Manage patient check-in/check-out processes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries about appointments, insurance, and treatment plans Collect and process payments, including medical billing and collections, utilizing health insurance knowledge such as Medicare and CPT coding procedures Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring proper coding with
ICD-9/10
codes for billing purposes Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and other administrative documents in accordance with health information management standards Skills Proven experience in a dental office environment with strong clerical skills Knowledge of Dental terminology Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and phone etiquette Ability to perform typing tasks efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' lives by providing seamless administrative support in a friendly, professional environment.
