With locations in Boulder, Wheat Ridge, and Steamboat Springs, we are seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As one of the first people our patients interact with, you'll help create a welcoming experience while keeping our busy medical office running smoothly. This position combines front desk responsibilities with administrative support, including helping obtain insurance authorizations for procedures . If you take pride in your work, enjoy helping people, and work well with a team, we'd love to hear from you. Medical office experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out. Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and route messages to the appropriate staff. Register patients and update demographic and insurance information in our electronic medical record system. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect patient payments, and provide receipts. Assist with procedure prior authorizations , including submitting requests, gathering supporting documentation, checking request status, and communicating updates to patients and staff. Coordinate with clinical staff to help ensure required authorizations are in place before scheduled procedures. Process incoming faxes, referrals, and scanned documents. Assist with medical records requests and release forms while maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements. Review upcoming schedules for missing paperwork, referral requirements, and other items needed before appointments. Keep the front desk organized and welcoming, assist with office supplies, and support other team members as needed. What We're Looking For A friendly, professional approach and strong customer service skills. Clear communication and excellent phone etiquette. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfort using computers and learning new software. Dependability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Experience with medical reception, insurance verification, prior authorizations, or eClinicalWorks is helpful but not required.
