Medical Receptionist

Greets and directs all patients within the practice. Checks in and checks out patients in a timely, friendly manner. Schedules any necessary appointments after completion of patient visit. Monitor and review patient schedules for next day office appointments. Calling and confirming upcoming appointments. Answering all incoming phone calls and directing as needed. Obtaining patient demographics and verifying insurance information at each visit. Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits. Obtain external medical reports and scan discs prior to appointments (as needed). Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patient, etc. Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance). Protects patients' right of confidentiality, mandatory familiarity with HIPAA. Identifying and resolving minor patient billing complaints. Tracking and scheduling all incoming referrals. Maintaining cleanliness of waiting room. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
