We are a high-volume Occupational Medicine, Workers' Compensation, and Rehabilitation clinic serving a wide variety of patients and employers. Our Front Desk team is an essential part of creating a positive patient experience while keeping the clinic moving efficiently. This is not a slow-paced reception job. We need someone who can multitask, prioritize, communicate effectively, and stay calm and professional when things get busy. What You'll Be Doing As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping create a smooth experience for patients from the moment they walk through our doors.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and visitors with a friendly, professional, and stellar attitude Checking patients in and out efficiently and accurately Answering and managing a high volume of phone calls Scheduling and confirming appointments Collecting and verifying patient demographic and insurance information Assisting with Workers' Compensation patient registration and documentation Communicating with employers, adjusters, attorneys, providers, and other healthcare professionals Coordinating patient visits between our Occupational Medicine and Rehabilitation services Assisting with referrals and coordinating patient care as needed Collecting copays, balances, and other applicable payments Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Responding to patient questions and concerns professionally Communicating effectively with Medical Assistants, Providers, Rehab staff, and management Helping maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming Front Desk area Following Midtown's policies, procedures, and workflows Assisting with other administrative duties as needed Jumping in wherever needed to help the team succeed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Positive & Professional You bring a great attitude to work every day and understand that your attitude impacts the entire patient experience. QualificationsRequired:
Previous customer service, administrative, receptionist, or healthcare experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong organizational and multitasking skills Professional demeanor and positive attitude Dependable and punctual Comfortable working with computers and learning new software Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Highly Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish Workers' Compensation experience Previous Occupational Medicine experience Medical Front Desk experience Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience with scheduling and patient registration Experience communicating with employers, insurance carriers, adjusters, or attorneys Experience in a rehabilitation, physical therapy, chiropractic, or personal injury setting Bilingual is highly preferred but NOT required. Workers' Compensation experience is also a major plus and will make you stand out from other applicants. Why Midtown?
