Job Description
About Us Magnolia Medical Group is a Denver based addiction treatment center that specializes in the treatment of those struggling with addiction. Our outpatient addiction treatment program involves Medication Assisted Treatment, individual and group counseling, psychiatry, and individual and group peer support. This is done under the care of our board certified addiction medicine Medical Director, and licensed counselors. Job Overview This position will work a consistent schedule of 5 days per week: Monday 8:30AM-5PM at the Wheat Ridge clinic (10160 W 50th Ave Wheat Ridge, CO 80033) Tuesday - OFF Wednesday 8:30AM-5PM at the Wheat Ridge clinic Thursday 8:30AM-5PM at the Denver clinic (2925 E Colfax Ave Denver, CO 80206) Friday 8:30AM-5PM at the Wheat Ridge clinic Saturday 8:30AM-5PM at the Denver clinic Sunday - OFF The Medical Front Desk and Admissions Representative will assist in both areas of front desk and fielding incoming patient calls. The position will assist new and existing patients with appointment scheduling (in person and telemed), insurance authorizations, pre-appointment calls, and any other assistance the patient may need. This position will report to the Office Manager and will handle additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager. Job Responsibilities Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner Assisting with incoming faxes, emails, voicemails and assisting patients with their questions Obtain and enter demographic information into EMR software (address, telephone number, insurance information or self-pay status) Schedule appointments correctly; review appointment date, time, location and provider name Inform caller of items to bring to appointment (including insurance card, photo ID, medications, office visit fee- if applicable) Remind caller to arrive 30 minutes before scheduled appointment to complete paperwork Reminder caller of cancellation/no-show policy Answer questions and offer other information, as requested, to provide patient-focused service and a positive impression of the clinic Act as a liaison for the patients and the clinic Direct calls to other departments as needed Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients Understanding of when to escalate calls to physicians/MA/Office Manager Deliver exceptional customer service Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary Provide assistance with other projects as call volume permits Other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Qualifications Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds Ability to work quickly and multi-task Ability to exercise good judgment to handle calls appropriately Ability to demonstrate good customer service required Experience Medical Front Desk (1 year preferred) Customer Service (1 year required)
