Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Phone Representative/Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties Answer incoming phone calls promptly with professional phone etiquette, providing clear information and scheduling appointments efficiently. Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations Collect and review medical documentation, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Verify insurance coverage, process medical billing claims including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, Medicare, and health insurance inquiries. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as preparing care plans, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and updating patient information in the system. Assist with billing procedures by understanding medical collection processes and supporting the documentation review process. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including EZDerm Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, claims submission, and understanding of Medicare policies a plus Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under clinical confidentiality policies. $17.50 - $19.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
