Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations. As a Medical Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and insurance processing while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through efficient administrative support. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures. Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) systems and coordinate with medical staff to optimize daily calendars. Handle incoming phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries related to appointments, billing, and general clinic information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and health information regulations. Process insurance claims, verify coverage details, and manage third-party billing in accordance with managed care policies. Enter data accurately into healthcare management software, supporting revenue cycle management efforts. Facilitate internal communication among staff members to ensure seamless clinic operations and patient flow. Assist with health insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and follow-up on outstanding claims or payments. Requirements Prior experience in healthcare administration or as a Medical Receptionist is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health insurance plans, managed care processes, and third-party billing procedures. Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and internal correspondence. Ability to type quickly and accurately to support data entry tasks; familiarity with revenue cycle management is advantageous. Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional demeanor that fosters trust and confidence among patients and colleagues. $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
