The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support within a medical setting. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to manage various administrative tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details. Assist in managing medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Provide administrative support, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and handling correspondence. Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure all supplies are stocked. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to assist in communication with patients regarding their care. Provide support to medical provider by taking patient's vitals when necessary. Coordinate consult/referral/follow-up tracking process for the practice Coordinates continuity of care with patient and/or family to ensure compliance Provide clinical follow-up with patients, giving information and guidance to enhance patient-care team communication Performs related duties as assigned or as required to successfully fulfill functions of the position such as referrals, authorizations, and pre ops Experience Previous experience in medical coordination support is preferred. Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic physiology knowledge is advantageous. Understanding of internal medicine practices and outpatient care is beneficial. Knowledge of coding practices related to medical documentation is a plus. Experience with medication administration protocols in a clinical setting is desirable. Proficiency in handling medical procedures will be considered an asset.
