Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment! Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments accurately and coordinate follow-up care plans with patients and clinical staff Handle medical billing and collections, including insurance verifications, claim submissions, and payment processing through health insurance platforms like Athenahealth or Medicare Review and update patient medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing procedures to ensure accurate record-keeping Manage phone communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies while maintaining professional phone etiquette Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support clinical staff by managing office supplies, appointment reminders, and patient correspondence to optimize office efficiency Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical front desk role within a dental clinic setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Familiarity with medical billing processes including insurance claims submission and collections Understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare procedures, and health insurance procedures Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and administrative tasks Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record management Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred to ensure seamless integration into the team Join us in delivering outstanding patient care while advancing your career in a dynamic dental practice!
