Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Employee discounts Flexible schedule Sunset Smiles Care Center is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions who is confident working both in the clinical area and at the front office. This unique position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, presenting treatment plans, assisting doctors clinically, coordinating laboratory cases, and being an essential part of a growing dental practice.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities:
Assist doctors during dental procedures Take digital radiographs, panoramic X-rays, and cephalometric images Perform intraoral scans and digital records Take orthodontic photographs and records Fabricate temporary crowns Assist with restorative, crown and bridge, orthodontic, implant, and Invisalign procedures Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms Assist with sterilization and infection control protocols Maintain operatories, sterilization area, and laboratory organization Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory
Front Office Responsibilities:
Welcome and assist patients Help coordinate patient flow throughout the office Present treatment plans in English and Spanish Explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility Discuss financing options with patients Assist with scheduling and patient communication Support treatment acceptance and patient education
Laboratory Coordination:
Communicate with dental laboratories Prepare laboratory prescription slips Track outgoing and incoming laboratory cases Monitor turnaround times and delivery dates Ensure all records, photos, scans, and documentation are complete Follow up on delayed cases and communicate updates to providers
Qualifications:
Active Florida Registered Dental Assistant license Expanded Functions certification preferred Current radiology certification Experience with digital scanning technology Dental assisting experience required Ability to present treatment plans confidently Bilingual English/Spanish required Dentrix experience preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
