Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail Handle multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls appropriately with excellent phone etiquette Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Facilitate patient intake procedures, including collecting demographic information and updating health histories Support clinical staff by preparing documentation review and assisting with care plan coordination Maintain office organization through filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a medical office environment with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Elation Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor; bilingual abilities are a plus Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software Experience working in clinics or hospitals with knowledge of health information management practices Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is preferred Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding healthcare experiences!
