This vital role requires a bilingual professional fluent in both Spanish and English, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring smooth office operations. You will be the first point of contact, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting the overall efficiency of our clinic. Duties Greet patients warmly in both Spanish and English, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diverse populations Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments and providing information Verify insurance coverage and benefits using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and other EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including data entry with accurate typing and computer skills Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing medical records, reviewing documentation, and maintaining health information management standards Support dental office operations by coordinating appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up care plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by handling sensitive patient information securely and accurately Skills Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills in both languages Strong knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate documentation review Experience with EMR/EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems such as eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms Familiarity with medical billing processes including insurance verification and collection procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing at least 10-key speed for efficient data entry Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally over the phone or in person Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of patient records Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office management practices highly valued Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to providing outstanding dental care!
