Job Description

Busy medical office needs experienced front desk person to check in/out patients, collect patient payments, post charges, answer phones, complete front desk tasks, process medical record requests and schedule appointments. Must have at least 2 years' experience in a medical office, OBGYN preferred. Experience with electronic medical records a plus. Be able to learn and adapt to changing procedures and be comfortable discussing female healthcare. Average 37 hours a week with benefits. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual that can multi-task, possesses great people skills, understands insurance terminology, including CPT codes and ICD10 coding, insurance authorizations, and is customer service oriented with experience in a medical office. The office is an excellent place to work with professional management by a national organization with a responsive human resource department. Benefits include healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, dental, vision, life ins, and paid time off. Hourly rate is based upon previous experience. Responsibilities including but not limited to: Check in/out patients Scheduling appointments Answering phones Verifying insurance coverage obtaining authorizations managing outgoing referrals Processing medical record requests
Requirements:
Knowledge with Medicare Compliance Ability to handle multiple accounts Strong communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Strong computer skills Strong organizational skills Experience with Word and Excel reports Electronic Medical Records, Athena Clinical experience is a plus Excellent Customer Service is a must
