Job Description

Provides professional clerical support following established standards and practices. Greets patients and visitors, performs check-in/check-out, schedules appointments, obtains patient information and records it in electronic medical record application, answers non-medical inquiries. Refers matters outside their scope of duties to the, Clerical Supervisor or Unit Administrator. Responsibilities Welcomes patients to the facility; serves as primary point of contact for patients and visitors. Comforts patients by answering preliminary non-medical questions, anticipating their anxieties and maintaining the reception area. Schedule appointments in person or by phone. Perform patient check-in/check-out procedures. Collect co-pays when applicable. Act as liaison between clinical staff and patients. Verify patient benefits Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year clerical experience in a medical office environment. Ability to multi-task in a stressful deadline-oriented environment. Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in an effective manner. Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
OB/GYN experience a plus eCW electronic medical record experience a plus

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
